Seven Deadly Sins

Living by the Spirit opens your eyes to the truth.

Our mission is to awaken humanity to the infinite love of the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We seek to guide individuals toward their spiritual calling and to raise awareness of Satan, his demons, and the spiritual forces that surround us.
As Ephesians 6:12 reminds us:
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
By living in the Spirit and resisting sin, we can align ourselves with God’s truth and protection.

Recognize the Sins That Hinder Your Spirit

The Seven Deadly Sins, also known as the capital or cardinal sins, are transgressions that are particularly harmful to spiritual growth. They are called “deadly” for several reasons:

Spiritual Death

These sins can lead to the destruction of the soul if left unrepentant.

Deprivation of Grace

Willfully engaging in these sins robs us of sanctifying grace—the life of God within us.

Gateway to Other Sins

They act as stepping-stones to other sins, hindering spiritual progress.

Human Nature

These are the sins we are most vulnerable to due to our fallen nature, often leading to additional transgressions.

The Seven Deadly Sins

The seven deadly sins are: pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, and sloth. They are contrary to the seven heavenly virtues and are seen as a major obstacle to achieving spiritual growth and salvation in Christian teachings.

These sins can dominate a person’s life, becoming addictive and leading them away from God. In Christian tradition, certain demons are believed to specialize in tempting humans with these sins. Understanding these sins and their spiritual consequences helps believers guard themselves, live by the Spirit, and pursue a life of virtue.

Pride

An inflated sense of self-importance that refuses to acknowledge God’s grace; also called vanity. Excessive pride can blind us to the good in others and lead to selfishness.

Greed

An unrestrained desire for material gain or wealth, often ignoring the harm caused to others. Also known as covetousness.

Wrath

Uncontrolled anger, hatred, or desire for revenge that can harm oneself and others.

Envy

Jealousy of another’s traits, possessions, or success, leading to discontent and resentment.

Lust

Excessive sexual desire or craving, often placing physical pleasure above spiritual and moral considerations.

Gluttony

Overindulgence, particularly in food or drink, which disrespects the body and harms spiritual life.

Sloth

Laziness or avoidance of spiritual growth and responsibilities, including prayer, study, and acts of love; a sin against God’s joy.

Everyone struggles with these sins in some form, but through repentance, salvation, and deliverance, we can overcome them. Recognizing your struggles is the first step to turning away from sin and drawing closer to Jesus Christ.

If you struggle with any of these sins, it is time to repent, seek salvation, and pursue deliverance.
