How Important is Prayer?

The Bible teaches us to pray without ceasing. When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, He shared what is now known as the Lord’s Prayer.

(Matthew 6:9-13):

“Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.”

This prayer, given by Jesus Himself, guides every aspect of daily life. I personally pray it every morning and often throughout the day for my wife, family, friends, and those in need. Prayer is a powerful way to connect with God, and when guided by the Holy Spirit, it can be even more transformative.

Even when it feels like God is not answering, know that He is always listening. Sometimes the answer is “not now,” teaching us patience, trust, and reliance on His perfect timing. Prayer is not just a ritual—it is a way to cultivate faith, seek guidance, and experience God’s presence in every moment of life.
