In the beginning, He existed alongside God, and so did the Word. Jesus understood that He needed to go forth and prepare a place for us in Heaven. He informed His disciples of His impending departure, assuring them that His Holy Spirit would remain with them to nurture, teach, and guide them.
God has called you to do more than the average man. God wants the best for you. He gave His only Son to die for you. Jesus, when He left to heaven to be with the Father, He loved us so much He did not want us to be alone, so He left His Holy Spirit behind to watch over us, to guide us, and take care of us. Below are a few scriptures describing the Holy Spirit.
Luke 11:13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Nothing has changed since the dawn of time. He fashioned the Heavens and the Earth, and He made you in His image. Now, we are blessed with His Holy Spirit within us. If you truly desire this gift, all you need to do is ask, and the Holy Spirit will reside within you. Just say yes to all that is good, kind, gentle, and loving.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. The Holy Spirit is your hope for a peaceful life.
Matthew 10:20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. (Luke 12:12) For at that time the Holy Spirit will teach you what you should say."
Exodus 4:12 What I want to let you know is that the Holy Spirit is full of supernatural powers, and if you let Him in and trust Him he can do anything in your life; nothing is impossible for Him.
2 Corinthians 13:3 Now go! I will help you as you speak, and I will teach you what to say."
